This course explains the fundamentals of electricity, including voltage, current, magnetism, and Ohm’s Law. It introduces inductance, capacitance, and resistance, and discusses the basics of dc circuits, including series, parallel, and series parallel. It continues with the fundamental components that control circuit current and voltage, their applications, and their associated symbols. It explains how a battery stores and dispenses electrical power and how an alternator generates electricity and concludes with the starting systems and remote start/stop features associated with many vehicles. This course has no prerequisites.
TPC Training is authorized by IACET to offer 0.3 CEUs for this program.
