As persistent as the green movement has been, many have considered the process of building more energy-efficient buildings as a pipe dream: ideal, but not necessarily feasible given the amount of resources required on top of traditional construction and maintenance expenses. But as the clamor for a concerted change continues to grow, the government has ramped up the diversity of reasons for going green, resulting in heightened moral and fiscal reasons to build environmentally conscious buildings. With this has come a sharp increase in not only the amount of these green buildings, but also in the types of buildings designed to focus on renewable, clean energies.
